Connecting To Haiti

Regional airline InterCaribbean Airways is starting services from Kingston, Jamaica to Santo Domingo with a stopover in Port-au-Prince. There are Thursday and Saturday flights. The flying time from Jamaica to Haiti is 1 hour and 20 minutes, while the flight to Santo Domingo is another 55 minutes. In the past a longer flight to Puerto Rico or Miami had to be taken in order to connect. The flights are being added as Haiti seeks to develop tourism.
The return flights are on Friday with a direct flight from Santo Domingo to Port-au-Prince.
The flights provide Haiti with nonstop connections to Jamaica and the DR.
Mr. Trevor Sadler, CEO of interCaribbean Airways, said: "We are pleased to offer these new routes to give travelers more choices and more connectivity across the Caribbean and support Haiti as it grows its appeal to the vacation visitor, while opening up new business opportunities. We look forward to increasing the frequency and number of destinations we serve in the new year".
